Reveal talents and passion.
From the age of 18, I have been reinventing furniture for my ever-changing homes in France, Spain and finally England:
-
In Paris, I learned how to furnish very small flats and apply ecodesign techniques.
-
In Barcelona, I rejoiced in redesigning pieces found in the streets (it was in the era of people leaving in the streets their unwanted furniture for a council collection on every Thursday).
-
In Cambridge, the almost Nordic Light, the simple beauty of wildflowers picked on my walks on the Norfolk Coast or along the river Cam, and the delicate palette of Artists such as Winnyfried Nicholson and Angie Lewin inspired me for a new creative gesture: my furniture HAD TO reflect the natural world I'm surrounded with. Progressively, friends started to ask me to search and redesign furniture for them.
This is a decisive encounter with Fanny Bara - photographer - that encouraged me to take the next step: showing my furniture to the world. Fanny captured so well my love for light and textures that I felt empowered to offer my collection on-line.
To me, Still Interiors is a project about craftmanship revealing beauty, about the natural world soothing our heart and about friendship opening new potentials.
